This guy is one lucky punk that actually has the full game already. He's got a bunch of ingame screens showing maps and vehicles we haven't seen in the demo and China's weps.

I totally forgot about China and their vehicles and weps :D

Time has just flown by since the demo release. It's already been a week and we're just 4 days away from retail release :D Days were going soooooo slow the week of the demo wait...but now that it's out I hardly noticed this week go by.

Lucky bugger. 7 days till release for us patient Brits :(

I saw that over at the TotalBF2 forums. Lucky bastard! The release is so freakin close, I can almost touch it. :)

...what? That's for recording videos, not checking fps O_o

There's a console command, console.showfps or something, not sure.

And the rest of your specs, casue I have a 2.4Ghz AMD, 512mb ram, radeon 9800 pro 128 mb, and I can only run it on the lowest setting in rez 800x600.
Itried turning up the graphics juts to see how it would run, but the maps simply wouldn't load, anything above, the lowest possible setting will not even load.

I've got better specs than that and have to temper mine too. Makes me suspicious as hell.

I have:

AMD 2000+
1gb pc3200 ram
9600 256mb

I have Geometry, Effects, and something else on high (the top 3 items on the graphics list), textures at medium and everything else on low in 800x600. It feels like I get 30+ fps. I haven't tested it yet.

I average 47 fps with everything on high according to Fraps, so I'm not complaining...I plan to run the full version the same way.

RAM seems to make quite a difference in this game. I have a AMD 2800 and a 9800 Pro and with 512 megs it ran on medium settings at 1024 ok but anything more than that would make it stutter. I recently put in another 512 of RAM and now I can up the resolution and have a nice mix of medium and high settings.

So my recommendation is to have a gig of RAM. It's the cheapest upgrade you can make, especially since RAM prices have fallen lately. $50 can get you a nice 512 stick.
