in exsactly 4 days im gettin a 6800OC from BFG is that a good Card? and wha will it do to my performance right now im using a heavily overclocked 9600pro 480/350.
will the peformance increase or decrease?
with which settings will I be able to play?
right now AA ff AFtrinealr( or whta ever) 1024:....
Shadowsff Shader Detail: high Water:reflect all
FPS:30-50
my PC right now


CPU: P42,4 after OC -3,0Ghz
Mobo: Asus P4P800
ram: Kingston HyperX 1 gig
Radeon9600pro128mb

hell, you should be able to play on 1600x1200 with the highest settings! I have a 5700LE and I can play on highest 800x600!

thx guys im just worried becuz right now im ona Ati and now im changing to Nividia and Valve doesnt like Nvidia... thats why im worried

Its just marketing... HL2 wants you to buy ati. Tribes:V wants you to buy ati. UT2004 wants you to buy nvidia.

You need to uninstall the ATI drivers, and then install the NVIDIA drivers, don't do it any other way.

I'm running an nVidia 6600 GT, not even the 6800, and I get great frame rates - usually > 60fps and often over 100fps. I'm running 1024x768 @ max, 4xAA, 4xAnso. With that 6800 you should do 1280x1024 with tons of headroom.
