Nvidia Digital Vibrance

What exactly is "Digital Vibrance" ?

The website just uses a bunch of technical jargon to basically say it makes things look better:

The thing is, I agree! I bought a 7800 GT just a couple of weeks back. Previously I had only used ATI cards.

Holy ish! The only thing I can say is that digital Vibrance rocks! I finally got the colors on my monitor PERFECT, and the colors are always extremely vibrant. It looks awesome. In all honesty, I had spent hours tinkering with the ATI color controls and they suck in comparsion. Suck. As a side note, I'm also glad to not have to deal with that ATI 60hz bug which I've been dealing with for a year and a half, over the course of 2 cards and 2 monitors! My computer finally stays at the hertz I set it at! Yay! Go Nvidia!

Yeah I love digital vibrance. It owned my cat.(yes the one in my avatar)
I miss it so much. ;(
I set it to low with my GeForce4 Ti and it was so gorgeous! And then it died and I got a 9800Pro to replace it. I can't really complain because it's 8 times the card but I miss how amazing everything looked with digital vibrance.
I'll probably get nVidia next time I buy a card just because of that feature since they're no worse than ATI cards.

its purdy but too much vibrance hurts my eye's and tends to give the image an enhanced fake look to the colouring

I have a nVidia card and I've never heard of this How do I enable it?

Edit: Yeah the sample images look a little fake.

Edit2: OMG this is really really cool The effect seems rather mixed though, some images look totally awesome, some look blah. It's quite amazing though, after using it for five minutes and then turning it off it almost looks like black and white.
