Nvidia mid-range DX10

Looks like a few of the cards will be coming on April 15th and others a bit after that.

I'm sure there are a few people who don't run high resolutions or use a lot of AA/AF but still want DX10 right away. Almost seems like an oxymoron to me but oh well. hehe

Yeah I just looked at the benchmarks, doesn't seem to be anything to get too excited about. I want a new PC now, but I know as soon as I purchase there will be competition from ATI/AMD out

no use in getting a dx10 vid card if there's no games to play that take advantage of it . ..wait till dx10 games that you want are released then buy ..no use in getting a vid card that's made for dx10 if you dont know how it will perform in dx10

Remember the FX5900 vs 9800 debate? They both did great in DX8.1 but the 9800 distanced itself from the FX as games used more and more DX9 effects. I wouldn't want to get caught in something like that. I'm not saying I think that will happen this time but you never know. Granted DX10 is a lot more standardized.

Ah, I got all worked up with it somehow being 'better' than the 8800gts, I actually had a dream last night that I got an 8800gts and I felt like god.

Far from the knockout punch most of us were expecting. These cards does well in shader intensive games like Oblivion but lags in memory bandwidth consuming stuff like AA. Seriously, why a 128 bit card in this day and age?
