Nvidia Response

So what's Nvidia's response to ATI's new X850 series? Has anyone heard anything about it or have any details??

There will be none. Only 20MHz faster? What's the point? Waste of money, Nvidia does have SLI though.

Of course ATI is working on their own version of SLI too.

I didn't see any of the specs on the X850, but thats a good point.

Nvidia basically dropped the NV48 which would have been the small speed bumped 6800. They are pinning thier hopes on SLI right now until the core revision comes along.

I hear ATI is coming 'round with an x900 with 512ram... Something to counter the Pharhelia 512!

Will take a while of course - a looong while. I take it you wont be able to use the nForce 4 chipset and try to use ATIs upcoming SLI system with it?

Should, it's the driver and bridge system not the chipset that matters.
