Obviously he's not going to be filling it up with a lot of Republicans, but there are some Democrats in particular who he IS eyeing that I really would prefer he chose over others.

In particular NM Gov. Bill Richardson he is eyeing.

AZ governor Janet Napolitano is part of his transition team officially as well. I really hope she takes a spot.

Both these people would really pull for the southwest in his administration (we're all neglected besides Cali for ****s sake)

I heard that Kerry might be his Secretary of State.

Terrible. That's a position that requires the exact definition of someone decisive. Kerry is as far as you can get from that.

Love her or hate her, Condoleeza Rice was very decisive. We need a governor or other administrator who is just as much. Janet Napolitano would make a good Sec. of State. She sticks to her guns and is popular with both Republicans AND Democrats here.

I really like Bill Richardson.

Bill Richardson FTW!!!

I'd also like to see him do something with Clinton (either of them).

Bill Richardson has very good economic policies as well. He's a TRUE economic conservative, but not very social liberal. That's what we need money wise for a position that can affect the economy. It's all about placement in the cabinet.

Balanced 5 state budgets; priority to balance federal budget. (Dec 2007)
Supports restricted Constitutional balanced budget amendment. (Dec 2007)
Save $150 billion in tax cuts for people who don't need them. (Dec 2007)
Balanced Budget Amendment to address $9 trillion debt. (Dec 2007)
Constitutionally require balanced budget & fiscal discipline. (Sep 2007)
Mortgage industry needs more liquidity & more transparency. (Aug 2007)
Grow the trade link to Mexico and attract Hollywood business. (Jan 2004)
Supports Balanced Budget Amendment. (Nov 1996)

Janet Napolitano (Dem) FTW as Attorney General!!!!:

Expedite transport of goods to and from Arizona. (Jan 2004)
No new gun laws; bearing arms is a fundamental liberty. (Sep 2002)
Committed to women's reproductive rights. (Sep 2002)
Provides funding for the priorities without raising taxes. (Jan 2004)

Is anyone annoyed with all the talk of Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State? I really don't want her in that position. I'm hoping Obama surprises the media and chooses Richardson.

I don't want hillary as secretary of state either. I'm afraid she will undermine Obama every chance she gets.

Not to mention she has absolutely no experiance for this position. Obama going to the center like this is pissing me off but I was fully expecting it.

Foreign minister will probably be either Hillary Clinton or Colin Powell.

I read this as Colbert's cabinet and thought this was going to be humorous.

:(
