Comparing that movie to the map, and going on what Bethesda said about view distance being infinite, you should be able to see the entire game area from a high vantage point, with the tower always visible in the centre...
I'm also hoping that's the plan

If any of you are runners, you'll understand when I say that I much prefer running through forests and canyons and such as opposed to huge open plains or even rolling hills because it feels like you are actually getting somewhere. With such a vast distance ahead of you, like on the plains or a long open road, it always seems like you have such a long way to go and no matter how long you run, it doesn't look like you've run all that far.
CR0M said:It all looks damn fine to me too. The pic of the wench on the horse shows the low res hills in the background to the left, but my long-sight isn't that great in real life and that's how hills look to me anyway
Oh, being a total nerd i've calculated the viewpoint of the movie based on the maps of cyrodiil.

Yeah, those forums are almost as bad as the Steam forums.CR0M said:on a sidenote, visit the elderscrolls forum for some laughs:
No reigns???? omfg im gonna buy super mario instead.
grass??? omfg its too grasslike.
mountains??? omfg they're too blue, im gonna stick red Quality Street wrappers all over my screen.
CR0M said:look at it this way - blurry vision = natural anti-aliasing. Think of the extra fps you will get as you don't need AA enabled
plus you can enable HDR (a pointless effect i can't be arsed with) if you're so inclined.

The PC can NOT no matter what GPU, run with both HDR and AA, so you'll have to choose between the two.
"Oblivion will do both AA and HDR because it uses a special simulated HDR technique which is compatible with AA on all DX9 video cards, including Nvidias"

it'll probably look something like this
