Oblivion in CryEngine 2

Thats awesome. I love the CryEngine2. Sooo sexy.

I doubt this would turn into a fully blown mod, or is it? :O

looks like shit compared to crysis, which is odd seeing its the same engine

I'm not sure Ren, I think it's just the Oblivion assets imported into the engine. (Which is why it is not near Crysis quality Tyguy...)

Looks pretty cool, but Oblivion looks really good with very high settings, so I don't really get the need for something like this. Still, someone had some fun!

the ambient feel is alot different in that engine. the cities look great but the forest looks like crap, plus the water is all tropicalesque

Beaches are a bit too sandy. Breathtaking view at the end though.

the city hardly looks any better, and the forest is too tropical.
The city is directly from Oblivion. No matter how powerful CryENGINE 2 is, it won't perform magic.

As for the forest, Crysis took place in a tropical setting. Also, it doesn't seem like much time was spent on the details in the environment.

The main point of the video is to show that Oblivion assets are working in CryENGINE 2.

Yeah, the models and such are easy. It gets hard when you have to import all of the scripted sequences, quests, voices and all that stuff.

The dynamic shadows make a big difference.

Too bad Oblivion had to cut them because of the craptastic xbox.

Wow! That does look pretty damn good. But how did they do that?
