Hey guys, I just upgraded my computer to the following specs

Athlon XP 2500+ w/stock fan
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe Rev. 2
Corsair TwinX 2x 512mb pc3200 XMS - Low Latency
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (on its way)
Onboard SoundStorm Audio

I haven't put the parts together yet, I am missing a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro I will order in a week or two. I also plan to oc the cpu by setting the bus to 400 and the multiplier to 11 (3200+), while hoping to keep the voltage at default. My questions:

1) What shoud the timings be on my ram? what about the settings for aggresive behavior? non agressive?

2) How much should i oc the vid card for memory and core? Riva Tuner or Rage 3d tweak?

3) Any other tips?

I greatly appreciate your responses.:cheese:

my specs are below i just jumped the fsb to 200 (400) and it worked fine from the moment my pc was running... you shouldnt have to adjust ur memory or anything... inorder to oc it...

1. try the various settings... see which one works best and trouble free...
but toy with it until ur happy...

2) you cant say a specific amount for overclocking as most cards are different... and this is another one of play about with it til you get artifacts and so on then move down til you dont ahve them...

3) remember where the bios reset jumper is... if your messing with the memory timings etc... you will end up needing it til your done! :D

About OCing...

There is a guide stickied up top, take a look there and post your OCing questions if any.

Try putting the RAM timings at 2-3-2-6 first. Then tighten them if your able to.

Thanks for your guys' replies,
Sgt.Igneri, i knew before about the sticky, but wanted to ask other with similar parts as me.

The rook... Are you serious with you FSB on 400Mhz? then what is your multiplier on? (11*200 = 3200+ | 8*400 = 3200+)...

StinkyMojo, just a heads up. If your Barton 2500+ is week 39 or later, the multiplier has been hardlocked. All you have to work with is the FSB.

I recommend Tweak3D for your 9800pro. It's specifically made for ATi cards and therefore yields the highest overclock in most cases.
