OCing my 2500+ Barton to 3200+

Okay..

So im about to OC my 2500 that i just ordered but im a little confused about how to procced with it. Because of AMD lock up on their CPUs after week 42, there isn't any possibility to change the multiplier.
So of course is it simple that i have to raise the FSB (probably to 200).
But as i said im not sure what i have to do.

Do i have to print the L1 bridges with Silver to change the FSB or is it just possible to change the FSB by going in to BIOS and set the FSB to 200 somewhere (frequenzy?) without taking of the CPU from the MOBO?
And also, when im done with OCing, i want it to be stable so what should i do about that.. Should i raise the Vcore to 1.875 or lower Volt?

And please do not answer if you're 100% sure because im tired of people who beginns with "i think..." i their sentences...

..Barton CPU multipliers aren't locked. You can change the multiplier in your BIOS as well as the FSB without actually touching the CPU.

Have you read the Overclocking sticky at the top of this forum?

All Barton batches from week 39 on have been multiplier locked. It's hardwired into the chip, just like P4's. There's no way to unlock the P4 that anyone knows about, so it's looking grim for the Barton as well. The only difference is the P4 800mhz and their chipsets can take some incredible FSB speeds, whereas the Barton and nForce combo rely on much more on higher multipliers.

Stinks for AMD overclockers. P4's are getting easier and easier to OC, while AMD's are getting tougher. The new 2.4c SL6Z3 batch are hitting 3.6GHz easily on even mid-range air cooling. Stinks to be an AMD fan these days.

I'm sure any computer store in Sweden has boxed 2.4c's. Normal 2.4c's can do 3.0GHz-3.2GHz on air pretty easily. If you're buying from a store though, ask to see the box. If the last 5 digits of the part number are "SL6Z3", you're golden. I've heard of people who've pulled 3.6GHz on the crappy stock cooling, though I'd recommend something a little beefier.

2.4c's run for about $170 USD, dunno what that converts to for you, but it's dirt cheap here. Barton's simply aren't worth it anymore.

Fishstick, the only way to overclock your Barton is by raising the FSB. If your motherboard allows this, you can do it through the BIOS. If not, you're dead in the water.
