Odd G-Man sighting

I'm not sure if this has been posted before (it probably has), but has anyone noticed that the G-Man has a raven/crow on his shoulder when you see him on the TV screen in Follow Freeman? (It might be the map before that). Also, his location is slightly odd, looks slightly like Combine architecture.

Sorry dude, it's been posted before. But it makes you think don't it? I wonder who's the boss and who's the underdog, I mean G-man is evidentely pretty eager to impress the crow, what with the adjusting his tie n' all.
 
All G-man sightings are old I'm afraid. People with no life searched every pixel of HL2 for them.
 
The search button is alwasy at your service ^_^ .

To the contrary to what other people might of said, but thats the only Gman sighting that I haven't seen. I've been away from the forums quite a bit, so Thank You for the refresh. :thumbs:


As for the Raven, does it feature in Native American lore? Someone mentioned a while back that the Gman could of been some sort of Native American spirit. If the Raven or the Crow is, then it might make Gmans roots stronger.

People have some weird theories about the G-Man. Native American spirit? You've been going too hard on the ritual peyote dude!

I saw some thread, which I can no longer find - saying 'what does G-man stand for? Does it mean Gordon?' er...No. For those who do not know, a gangster was heard to shout -
'Dont shoot me G-men! Im coming out' during a raid by Treasury officers and FBI at the time of Prohibition. This was reported in the papers - and the name G-Man became synonymous with the FBI. More recently, tho, the G-Man - is said to represent any of the many shadowy govt agencies that the USA has to offer. The Defence Intelligence Agency, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, the Secret Service. G-men of course meaning, Government Men.

I guess you haven't heard the one where Gman is God then :LOL:

But the fact that HL1 took you into the fourth dimension (Persuming that Valve said that Xen was inspired by The Outer Limits episode 'The Borderworld'), and Breen mentions that he will be teleported into another Universe in HL2. It does make one wonder if beings from these other Universe's have been maipulating us in someway (yes the Raven could be from this other Universe as well as Gman)
 
I HEARD A THEORY FROM ONE OF MY FREINDS THAT G-MAN IS is Gordans concious. HEHE .. and that the G-man keep Gordan from dying ,why when i was playing then (as he said that) did i get killed by a combine...
 
Gman is Gordon's conscious?!! Gordon's conscious can manipulate time?!! Jeez, he really should be seeing someone :p

It was "Machine Gun Kelly" who coined that famous phrase. And he actually said "gee men" not knowing it was going to become "government man".
 
Nah - no1s conscience ever hires people for a gig, or gets asked by third parties to hire itself for gigs. The G-Man is just what he appears to be, a former US government agency guy, who has made some powerful alien connections and fixes things for them. Including, the combine and Dr Breen, for whatever reason.
 
I remember seeing that one, one time, but i didnt get a screenshot of it..I reloaded, tried to get back, and it wouldnt show
 
about the term g-man - that phrase was commonly used during the irish war of independence 1919-1922 for anyone who worked for the british administration in ireland, but particularly for irishmen who worked as spies employed by dublin castle, because they were seen as traitors. they were called gov-men or g-men for short :)

The Gman is alien.


The Prima books make that pretty clear by saying he is unnacustomed to "human speech".

The gman is not an illusion of Gordon because he talks and interacts with random and seemingly useless people as you play through both games..
 
Have any of you seen that REALLY RARE Gman sighting where he talks to you in the beginning? I'll try and get a pic, but it happens so fast it's hard to see.
