Official Bad Company 2 thread - no beta talk here!

When I'm playing Assault Recon, I get the m24 with a 4x scope. Makes it easy for close range sniping and you 1-shot kill people at close range.

No, I mean, like isn't there a way to set off the C4 while you have your primary weapon out so you don't have to scroll back to the C4 detonator?

I think BF2 did.
 
i wish i could play the game but i keep on crashing (sigh) i hope they make a patch soon

not that I know of, think your stuck with the old fashioned way.
 
Does anyone else get this? 50% of the time I click a server when it's not full, it just says "please wait" for a few seconds and then nothing happens.

Yeah sometimes, not 50%. It was more but it's gotten less frequent. Usually if I try to join the same server again it will join it.

Yup, just keep clicking on it after...or if that doesn't work just use "play now". Hopefully all this will be fixed soon.
 
my friends list was messed up from the start, accepting friend requests and receiving no friends in my list. Nice work !

They just recently made it so that you could see the game your friend was in... that's too bad. I only had a couple of people on there anyways. Mostly because you chumps are never on the server when I am. I'm gonna be on there tonight... like four hours into the future... so be ready for that.
 
God damnit EA, i got disconnected and now i cant login anymore. Cant find soldier name or some shit.
 
so next game question, how does the sqaud objective system work?
 
ya alot of people are having issues with the friends list
hopefully they're just doing maintenance on it

Starting to get pissed at how many people play assault and just sit around spamming grenades or go Medic and and use their leet M60s. Also, the amount of people that sit around playing with their dicks while an M-COM or two is whining and only one or two people have noticed and gone to help.

Hit detection is also meh at times.
 
Tonight has been the most aggrevating game night ive ever had in my life. Incredible amounts of disconnects and kicks, and then the master servers crashed TWICE. Unable to join friends or servers, coupled with freezes and crashes. The few times i actually played good, EA kicks me off without saving my stats, and then it wont let me back in.

They seriously need to nerf that M60 machine gun. As soon as i see a medic im dead in a split second, no point in fighting back.
 
You pretty much only see medics nowadays. Whenever i've played the americans, I get into enemy territory and all I see are ****ing red hats. And oh look, I was killed by an m60. Medics are bar far the most powerful class in the game at the moment. Best gun, plus ability to revive. And since everyone is medic now, its impossible to stop even a half-aware squad since they're all medics and revive each other the second one goes down, and that couple seconds of immunity they get when they come back alive means you are boned in every fight.
 
I still love a good assault. That AN 94 can outperform almost anything at the right range. I've been collecting headshots. Tonight was a great night for getting my K/D ratio better... though last night's debauchery probably left me where I was before.

I actually played some recon today. It's still brutally easy to me... with magnums and all. I just wish they'd get more stability soon. My framerate is getting better, but I crashed today and lost a few thousand points... plus connecting is still a little dodgy for me.

I assume the grate being covered up like this is a glitch right? In the beta you could see out, now I'm left blindly spraying about at spotted targets.
 
FIX? Hell, you are almost completely invulnerable! lol.

I had that too, only happened on one gun for me though. I havent tried using that same one since then, so im not sure if its stuck like that, or a one time glitch. My brother said it was normal to him when i told him to check it out.

Are you telling me the armor shielding magically disappears or something so you can see?
 
Those things are perfect targets for 40mm grenades. Just saying. Also, I heard it was a DX9 glitch, are you DX9ing? Stop DX9ing.
 
Seeing as I'm on XP and using a fairly old card by today's standards I'd rather not. Besides, as much as I love the game I've barely been able to play it what with the constant connection problems and I've never had any visual glitches with this card on any other game I've played to date so I'll just bare with it and hope EA's programming gremlins somehow fluke a fix for it.

No, it magically appears so that you can't see.

Does the retaill version of the game use the same settings in the ini file as the ones from the beta? Because I changed it to dx9 in the beta, but didnt change it for the retail game.

EDIT: Wait a sec, that may have happened when i was at work, on xp.

I've been to the official EA forums and they complain about recon a lot. Now we just have to find places where people complain about assaults (someone did a few posts above actually) and engineers and balance will be restored ;)
 
I've never had a problem with either of those two classes, and really everything is pretty well balanced except for the medic's m60, and the recon's mortars.
 
I just can't stand the constant grenade launches to the face. It's like Modern Warfare all over again.
