This thread has been made to deliver all the E3 news and media of Half-Life 2 and other major games shown in the Expo. There is another thread in this forum to discuss what is going on at E3, so this thread will be used to post news and media links about the game and other major events at E3.

So please, no discussion at all. Thankyou.

Look, I said no discussion and I mean it. Any posts that don't provide information in here will be removed, so there's no point trying at all.

Eurogamer has the following:

The legendary online FPS Counter-Strike is to receive a Souce-engine makeover and re-released this summer, Valve boss Gabe Newell revealed at E3 this morning.

Following the latest showing of numerous gameplay demos of Half-Life 2 (which will be available for download via Eurogamer later today), Newell surprised the 20-strong audience by showing off the Aztec level of Counter-Strike running in Source.

/edit: nevermind spiffea beat me to it
But InsideGamer (dutch only) reports that Valve is also reworking Half-Life and its expansion packs for Source.

For those who don't have bittorrent like me (Doesn't work for me :().

When quizzed, he said that the game would not be a free update, but would in fact be released commercially via retail and for download via Steam at the same time as Half-Life 2, at the end of this summer.

Looks like some people havent dont their homework, CS:Source will not be HL2's MP
