i really like the theme for this movie, downloading the trailer now.

yea...I'd pay to watch this.
 
There's just something strangely entrancing about this movie. Both of the trailers give me goosebumps when i watch them. Only a very few other movies, Blade Runner and The Matrix, had that affect on me before. It's rare to see the cinematography and music gel so well together. When they do, it's just pure ****ing magic to me. God, i hope this movie doesn't disappoint. I haven't been this excited about a movie in a long while.


The original definitely set a new bar in visuals when it was released. A highly underrated classic.
 
Old rubbish remade, remake is rubbish.

You might as well bring back Ramb..Star Wa..Star Tr...Oh ffs.

Although it does look cool. But then so does Avatar. Nothing new can be as special anymore.

None of those things you listed are remakes. Talking out of our ass, are we?


As for Avatar. It's hardly special and the Oscars finally agreed with me on something for a change. Take away the overhyped 3D visuals and all you have left is 8 foot long 3D Smurfs trying to reenact Pocahontas. Yeah, it's special in a Transformers kind of way.

Well I hope the storyline doesn't stink, because I'm almost certainly going to see this in the theater. Plus, the fem-trons are much hotter this time.
 
Wow that trailer was sexy as all get out! And after playing through Tron 2.0 recently I'm totally hyped for this!! I hope it's amazing.

Edit: Not worth a second post but why why WHY! are they killing me with a wait like this when it doesn't come out till December?
 
Fun Fact: The Young Jeff Bridges you see in the trailer is completely CGI. Im gonna have to see it in motion, but that little bit right there looked damn near flawless.

Yeah, it's "Clu 2". Looks like he's gone rogue. I wouldn't exactly call it flawless though.

That was the original Tron movie. Back then Windows was bleeding edge and the internet was in its infancy. There was no such thing as a smart phone or Twitter. There was no real form of e-mail or anything internet related. Computers were huge and stored things on tape drives.

Tron 2.0 showed us how big the Tron world had become by introducing us to anti-virus software, viruses, the internet, and firewalls among other things.

Now Tron: Legacy is coming out in 2010. Thirty years has been quite a long time since the first Tron came out and it's a new world. :dork:

Also Daft Punk who have not put out anything in years is putting out soundtracks for the movie. They will also appear in the film.

I have seen the original, and although it was fun and entertaining (and I'm sure this one will be too), my opinion on the story is that, it's stupid fantasy mumbo jumbo, that only people living under a rock, who don't know what a computer is, would actually take seriously.

lol Why would anyone take this movie seriously? Apparently you have never heard of Science Fiction. I pity those who watch movies with you.
