officiall Nvidia 52.16 driver Release

Thanks for the heads up! :bounce:

I'll check it out when I'm home and see if there are noticeable improvements.

are those suppose to help with GF4TI cards or just the FX ones?

The increase is mostly for the FX, cause that's where the 'optimisation' is in the AF filtering, the G4 and below are unaffected. Of course, they could improve for the G4 too, I dont have one to test with though.

In nView properties they have Desktop Management settings.
"Make windows minimize and maximize faster"
"Make windows transparent when dragged"

I wonder how 2d performance was improved with these drivers...as it seems faster even without the above setting checked.

YES@!!!

Oh yeah, increasing Windows 2D speed is a great idea, who needs 3D when we can FINALLY move a window at 224 fps instead of 220 fps!!!! :)

Lol I was more just talking about added options/settings they add to the display properties and their desktop management panel.

If I wasn't gaming I would rather have a FX than Radeon as they do have better 2d performance/better for graphic design workstations etc.
Havn't you ever took your best card out of your PC and put an older one in and felt like it was soo slow? Granted I'm not in need of a high 2d performance but I do spend a lot of time on my PC (home/work/class)and I tend to notice things like that.
Btw I have a GeForce 4 4200 128mb but planning to get an 9800 later. :)
