I have a dodgy wireless connection through which I access the internet. Since it started playing up I have been using offline mode.
Except when I went to start up Steam this morning it gave me the usual message about no net connection, do I want to retry or start in offline mode.
So I did what I have been doing when this happens, and clicked offline mode.
At which point steam told me it could not connect to the Steam network... and then booted me back to the previous screen.
WHY!?!?!
