My flatmate and I burst out laughing quite a bit whilst playing it just because the music was awful.

Sure, Escape from Butcher Bay was a great game as a whole... but I can't imagine how it would be in the running for "Best Voice Acting" and "Best Use of a Celebrity." Every time Vin Diesel (and Xzibit) spoke in that game I cringed. Yeah, it matched the movie but it was equally annoying in the movie. Let's just say he's not the best actor in the world (an understatement) and leave it at that. They're putting him on the level of James Woods (Interesting Fact: He has an IQ of around 180), Jean Reno, Samuel L. Jackson, and Willem Dafoe? I'd be fine if any of the other 4 won... but Vin Diesel? I... I... I don't know what to say.

The thing is, Gamespot only gave the graphics for WoW 9, while HL2 got 10.

Actually - most 9/10s and 10/10 games were in the artistic category - only the 10/10 ones were in Technical. While WoW has awesome art-direction, I was more blown away by city 17, from an aesthetic point of view.

I think gamespot might also give the artistic award to HL2, and technical to Doom 3. That's only fair.
