On the videotape the man cried in English, "Please get out of here. I don't want to die. ... Your life is important, but my life is important."

Its funny you should bring that up, I have noticed something in organized religion recently that seems rather interesting. Most major religions seem to go through a phase at some point in their life where many people in them become brutal, overly aggressive, and begin to use some of their religions teachings to further their own more violent goals.Adidajs said:i don't mean to anger any muslim hl2 fans, but...
btw. how many violent christian movements can you name? (besides the ira in ireland)
how many violent muslim movements can you name? a hellova a lot more.
that's not necessarily true, just like in japan when they had hostages taken, the mojority of the anger in the nation is directed at their government, not the terrorists (according to the news reports i've read anyway). remember that korea (most of the world, tbh) doesn't really like the US that much (especially after the tank incident a couple of years ago), and the average korean person probably views this war an america's problem.Alec_85 said:These terrorists are killing themselves... Soon the whole world will strike back right at them if they continue this nonsense. It would appear my evil master plan about a certain parking lot is getting closer to reality everyday
Well if things like this continue to occur then perhaps, with some luck, countries like North Korea and such, can set their views of the U.S. aside & unite with them to fight off this SHARED problem. This shouldn't just be Amercia's fight. The terrorists clearly do not think that the U.S. is the only enemy. They strike all over the world. If anyone believes different, then they're just turning a blind eye to the real problems of this world.Lil' Timmy said:that's not necessarily true, just like in japan when they had hostages taken, the mojority of the anger in the nation is directed at their government, not the terrorists (according to the news reports i've read anyway). remember that korea (most of the world, tbh) doesn't really like the US that much (especially after the tank incident a couple of years ago), and the average korean person probably views this war an america's problem.

not sure if you're confusing the two or trying to make a point, but we're talking about s. korea. n. korea is firmly against the US, as they have aligned themselves with the "axis of evil"Alec_85 said:Well if things like this continue to occur then perhaps, with some luck, countries like North Korea and such, . . .

(just kidding.. i feel sad for this matter)
Yeah I know S. Korea is more "Western" than N. Korea (ain't very hard) but if the terrorists would start doing this A LOT to countries such as that one, things might change politically. This could apply to any anti-U.S. country practically.Lil' Timmy said:not sure if you're confusing the two or trying to make a point, but we're talking about s. korea. n. korea is firmly against the US, as they have aligned themselves with the "axis of evil"
