Oh Shi--

Remember the printer on office space?

Yeah.

I've had a few red rings, but that wasn't the end for my 360, it still works today, just fine. In fact, it's been a really long time since I've had one.

Never had one, and don't hope to have one, although it does shut down randomly occassionally.

Another one bites the dust. Sry man. Hopefully they can turn it around quick. Frickin 360s. :hmph:

These red ring problems are pretty much the only thing holding me back from buying a 360.

Especially considering a kid at my college brought one in to play some Halo 3 with some other people in the lobby a few weeks ago, only to have the damn thing get the red rings on it.

Lulz and many expletives were had.

Al told me last night. Was hoping it would just be the rings from being plugged in wrong. Good thing you have another on the way.

I'd recommend getting an Elite, since it's got the Falcon chip. I've had the Halo 3 bundle (5th 360 I've been through -_-) since September of last year with no problems. The chip reduces heat and stuff.

Or alternatively a newer model Xbox 360 Premium, for those on a budget. Starting last September, all Premium models were shipped with the new Falcon motherboard, which makes them quiter, cooler, and overall more reliable.

Seriously?
Wouldn't have bought the Halo 3 Bundle back in October if I had known the Premiums had been upgraded.

Shucks.

I think if they have the HDMI port in the back they have the better chipset. Although is it just me or is the port a bit oddly shaped?

Xbox 360: unleashing spam and expletives on the internets since 2005.

My friend thought he had one. But he let it cool for a day and restarted it, and it worked fine.

Scary sh*t nonetheless.

It will likely happen again in cases like this. Once things get too heated the bonds that had cooled and hardened will be loosey-goosey again.

I've had a few red rings for the last few months, and yesterday it finaly gave up and gave it's soul back to the creator. So I'm trading it for a new one, or getting it fixed, whatever.

This happened to my friend's Xbox too, but it was properly dead within a few weeks. Tell your friend to give his console it's last rites. =/

Wow, I just came home with Devil May Cry 4 to find red rings on mine. Fun stuff.

LOL @ 360 red-ring of death victims.

/me cries because he can't afford a PS3 atm. ;(

Is there any way to sort to disc-****ed result of a 360 being pulled over while playing a game? Or is it just ruined forever?

Hey, what's the best path to take in getting a borked 360 patched up?
