I am sure this sort of thing happens all the time actually, dog has some pups, people don't want pups, people drown them in the river; sad indeed that the puppies were put down in such a cruel way. It's told that many farmers drown their old dogs as well.

However, watch average people become enraged and work to bring justice to the killer of puppies, but see them simply shrug off an unresolved murder, rape, kidnapping, or abuse of a fellow person.

If you have people murdered, raped, kidnapped or abused on video... people do indeed make a stink about it. Those sorts of things draw the outrage more because people can focus on faces and there's a good chance they can be caught.

I mean, there's not really a lot the average person can do with your typical crimes that occur without such sensational video. You really just have to leave it to the authorities to do their job.

People most certainly do NOT shrug off murder, rape, kidnappings or abuse in videos that actually feature individuals such as this video does. That's the kind of shit that gets tons of news airtime and makes the rounds among social groups.​

I am talking about news in general. Imagine these reports both with and without video-

Man publicly stabs puppy.

Man publicly stabs man.

^Guarantee you, with or without video, people will care more about the puppy stabbing.
Hell, look at our own forum, we make puns about the death of innocent individuals dying in horrid ways, but we cry when puppies die. Not that I am offended, but it's pretty ironic.

What's funny about this is I saw the video on theync dot com.

That's a shock site with some of the worst of the worst home/cell videos ever made. People are flipping out about the puppy video. The same people who sit there and laugh and post nasty comments about dying children or suffering people/beheading videos. I just find that ironic.

It's not ironic, it's basic human empathy. People don't want to see puppies harmed in the same way we feel protective towards babies. How is this unusual? Also, I'm pretty sure most of the puns in "those threads" are towards people who've died in some kind of accident. If it's a gruesome killing or something, people are more likely to demand the death sentence or an eye for eye - just like what's happening here.

Anyway, it's not like this internet vigilante bullshit actually achieves anything besides self-gratification. See this post from an admin over on Reddit about the other side of the coin:

Nope, go check out that site. There's some sick comments in live murder videos, and if you do a search by username you will find a LOT of the SAME people are pissed and riled up about the puppy dog video.

Of course that is the reason. People care about animals because we associate their innocence with childlike behavior and our parent instincts come out. I just find it disturbing that so many individuals in society have a disconnection with human to human empathy but have a stronger connection with human to animal empathy. People often attempt to justify this with the mentality that "all animals are innocent" and "most adult humans are not innocent"; therefor the murder of an animal is more wrong than the murder of a human. I find that to be ****ed up and backward.

Thought you were replying to me because I had just referenced people's reactions in those posts, my bad.

I go there fairly often, they have a lot of shocking and crazy vids and every once in a blue moon the videos highlight things unreported or misinformation by mass media. I wasn't bashing them for viewing videos, I was bashing them for making nasty comments to suffering people, and being heartbroken over some animals. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Okay that's cool with me (not being sarcastic either)

I mean I dont agree completely - but there are a lot of people on this planet who go apeshit and really would hurt people over animals, but would do nothing if a person was being raped and murdered right before their eyes.

As sad as this is, I can't be arsed to care after a recent case of child murder over here in Sweden.

A 24 year-old stepdad punched his 2 year-old stepson so hard in the stomach he ruptured the childs organs, whilst the child laid down dying a slow agonizing death, the stepdad proceeded to go to his room and watch internet porn, not calling the ambulance until 7 hours later, after which he claimed he had found the child like this and performed CPR.

As cruel as this video is, I find it far more cruel for an adult man to punch a 2 year-old human child so hard that his organs rupture and leaves the child to die whilst he goes to jack off.
 
Whoever did this should be rightfully hounded by the public. If she gets drowned they shouldn't even bother to retreive her.

I'm torn on this, part of me is glad as you just know they would have the worst lives a dog COULD have if they were brought up by that woman, but then of course, what they did is so ***ked up it's beyond any percieved or accepted level of justice.
