I find it intensely depressing that people can either sit back saying "Oh well, bad luck. Besides I won't be alive anyway so I don't care if I keep adding to the problem." It's really no different from sticking your head in the sand and denying global warming on the basis of other scientists' "research" (which was funded by oil companies, etc.) when it's just a poor excuse for ignorance, laziness or pure greed.
