u guys get lag with this map or is it just meh?

My Specs:

AMD Athlon 3200+ 2.21ghz
1gig RAM, 160 gb space
ATI Radeon x850 ($500 dolla card)
WinXp, 6 fans inside

This is actually the best map and it runs flawlessly on my machine. Actually all the maps run great for me on the full version.

The problem is the servers. A good, lag free ranked server is very difficult to find.

Actually the lag seems to have pretty much disappeared on all the servers I've been playing at. Yesterday it was horrendous though, so ALL the maps were laggy.

PrimeSuspect, are you talking about lag as in ping? Because I think you're talking about choppiness, not exactly fps, but I've been getting very choppy performance on all the maps even with a constant 30-50fps.

Try switching the sound type from Hardware to Software, or vice versa.

I get no lag whatsoever in this game and I run everything on High with 4x anti-aliasing and highest quality for my vid card settings. I get a low of 30fps and that is plenty find...usually around 40-50 constant.

its not lag its when i turn and look behind it goes slow..

That's considered "choppiness".

It's either in your video options that something is messed up, or your computer can't handle the software sound. Switch it to Hardware (or switch it to software if the default is hardware) sound in the audio options.

Just got off of playing this map for the first time. Played it on one server and it was lagged to all hell...could barely move without stuttering. Played it on a dif. server and I was barely able to notice any lag. Didn't change any settings...odd.

yea its been on software with HIGH and EAX is on. Still dont understand cause i have l337 card

They are only choppy if you have a crappy comp. If its laggy then find a better server.
