Also I want both of the remaining two Carmine brothers to appear in the game and not just some rookies. I want them to be badass veterans and yes they will both die like the two brothers before them, but they shall die in the manliest way possible.

Dismembering a Brumak
WITH THEIR TEETH AND BARE HANDS

Oh Damn I forgot about the last Carmine Brothers. I liked the last one as well, a shame what happened to him. I do hope they make an appearance.

god THIS!! :D

The campaign on the 2nd was really fun, but multiplayer was boring to me. It was sort of like being in a unpopulated css server. Horde was ok, though.

Compared to the Gears 1 and 2 trailers it was kind of meh.

I have a special place in my heart for disintegrating ashes. But it looked like they put Raiden in there - WTF.

The trailers for Gears of War games are always thematically more impressive than the actual game. The games aren't bad or anything, but they never really live up to the level of emotion that the trailers present. Gears 2 had its moments, though. I'll probably end up getting this.

I quite enjoyed both games, but I only played coop. Never touched online play or single player.

Yeah, the trailers give the impression that there's a level of intelligence to the story when there really isn't.

The first trailer was the only really impressive one, after that it is obvious that the next chapter would have the complexity of a Syfy original movie

Gears is shit. Shit colored shit trying to hide behind shit colored waist high walls.

Yeah, this. After playing the campaign, Horde was the only thing that gave the game any replay value. I never really got into the regular multiplayer, partially because the matchmaking system was so retarded.

I always love their trailers. The images mix with the music in a way that touches my soul. Anyone know what song that is?
The song for the new trailer is by Mark Kozelek and his band, Sun Kil Moon, and it's called Heron Blue I have a friend who is hugely into this guy and band and was totally flabbergasted that they used this song for the trailer for this game. Crazy. Great exposure, esp. to an audience that most likely would never have heard of them before.

Purely a rumor, but in Gears 3, if you bound over cover and there's an enemy on the other side you'll be able to drop kick them in the face. If so this is a day 1 buy game of every century the butt.

Gears of war 2 had ****ing DeVotchka.

GOTY all years

that's such classic GOW marketing - present shit looking game, deliver formulaic product, but interwine uninteresting gameplay with OTT ridiculous one second mechanics such as curb stomping, chainsawing or in this case, drop kicking. it's just so KRAZY and badass that it must be good. how zainey will cliffy b get next!

it gets people every time.

You're just jealous because Marcus Fenix has bigger muscles than you.

sounds like the kinda talk from someone who can't grow a beard to me

Most men look stupid without a beard, or at least some scrubble. I keep my shit trimmed tight in the summer, cuz it's ****ing hot though.

Yeah, hello; aren't you 54 years old? Why are you still trying to look pre-pubescent.

I honestly don't understand the sheer hate that Gears gets. Sure, the game wasn't revolutionary or mind-bending. It was, however, quite fun.
