I think that valve needs to say something offcial about it !

Its simple really, if there is a six month delay, then more and more people are going to be getting their hands on a poor hacked version and playing that. The impetus of media attention that has developed surrounding this will be lost. Unfortunately I think Valve is going to lose big time.
