yeah oh i agree, i absolutly hate monthly fee's. HL1 was the last game i bought for money, ever other game i've ripped/hacked but i've bought hl1 4x and valve will always have my support/$$


what i want to know, is how much the computer sales/hardware industry increased in sales this past month, becuase of the official announcement of hl2 being released i bet you there is a noticable difference jsut becuase of hl2

That would be stupid, they could charge for Steam once by including it in the price of the game itself. But if we got to pay monthly, I simply won't. HL was great because mods were free. I could play to TFC or CS 100 hours non stop and it didn't cost anything. I *hope* they aren't stupid enough to make players pay to play MP. That would be a huge mistake.
