Back on May 8th, ign.com had an article by Steve Butts who got to see the game demo'ed. If you haven't read it it's a good read, and even if you have, might be worth reading again. I just did and it reminded me of some things that had totally slipped my mind...

Beginning about halfway down the second page. Things like seeing barnacles, with "eerily pulsating sacs around their base". Insectified flying head crabs and skeletal assassin robots (I remember the concept art, but the way it's described helps you visualize how it might look in-game).The old female assassin was also shown.

And this:

"As in the first game, there's a big question about who's really the bad guy. Kleiner makes a big assertion in Half-Life 2 to get all the people we think of as friendly moving in a certain direction." (emphasis mine)...

Describing Father Gregori and some guy in an orange jumpsuit as the "Huggie Bears" of the game. Alien slaves as allies. The pre-fabs like power stations and airplane hangars. The Combine emergency flare to call in a gunship. Lots of cool stuff.

Check it out if you're bored - better than delay threads :)

I actually hadn't read that before. Nice find!

Thanks for the link, haven't read that in a long time. A lot of cool details in that article.

Cracking = Good

I'm from Yorkshire (UK), so I speak a little funny compared to most people.

:D

Cracking and Smashing. Are they interchangable?
