The lightning reminds me of the black widow. Only smaller. Or rather, the black widow reminds me of the lightning. Only bigger.
 
My dad went to an air show in Duxford, England last weekend with the Catalina. While he was there he made some awesome pics. Hope you like 'em.

Awesome... the catalina is the most beautiful seaplane there is, in my eyes. I've had a fascination for it and the stuka for a long time.

Looks best when its black, though!

Sexiest plane on display: the Grumman F7F Tigercat. I never heard about it. It was designed during WWII but production started too late for the Tigercat to participate in the war. It saw some action during the Korean War tho. Sechs with wings if you ask me.

Thanks. All credit due to my dad and a friend of his. If they are going again next year I am coming along. I must see all this awesomeness for myself.

OK, last one, since there isn't a real old lady in this thread yet: a fine specimen of the 'big ole mean looking' variety.
