I just installed omega drivers for my mmx 440 64meg nvidia vid card and i cant believe the performance difference.I went from 60 fps in cs to 73.6 fps. The stress test on css i went from 53.7 to 78.6. i would recommend these drivers to all who have radeon and nvidia vid cards.

i don't believe you are getting 78.6 on the stress test with a 64mb mx 440.

i do lowest detail but who cares
there better then omega drivers
and i only get hitches with omega i rather use ati beta drivers

DESTRUKT if you tell me how to do a screen shot of the css stres test i will post it also

it's simple, i don't believe you get 78.6.

i get around 95, on a amd xp3200+, 512mb ddr pc3200 & 9800 xt 128mb.

your computer is less than half as good as mine, yet your results are only about 20fps off?

besides, my friend who has 2700+, 512mb ddr pc3200 & 9600 xt 128mb gets around/a little less than you.

and according to results i've seen in the numerous "post your stress test scores" you should struggle to get 20fps.

unless your running 640x480, lowest everything, with 99% of the effects turned off.

I was about to suggest overclocking, but he doesn't even know how to take a screenshot how will he know how to overclock.. :-\

if you know how to take a screen shot then please do tell i will show you

Yours is running in dx9, his in dx7 (iirc). Thats why he can get good framerates, although it looks like shit compared to dx9.

well .. it must look terrible

printscreen for screenshot?

The 78.6 was on 800x600 res with everything on med.And i got 72.4 on 1024x768 res with everything on med

how can you possibly get 78 fps.. i'm running on a AMD athlon XP 2000+ @ 1.6 ghz.. when i'm playing CSS i get around 10 FPS.. and i'm running on a ATI Radeon 9600 XT 256 MB..

Thats on the stress test i have no idea as to what my fps is in game. I havent figured out how to see that info yet like net_graph3 in reg cs

use "cl_showfps 1" in console.. its easier IMO.. with my comp.. would it make any difference in FPS if i'd use DX 7 instead of DX 9? cause if it would i'm definitly trying
and if it would.. would you recommend using 7.0 or 7.0a

Well im getting 68 to 70 fps in css. I dont really know how my comp compares to anyone else but it looks fine to me. i dont have an 9800 pr0 or xt to compair it with or a high end processor.

what settings are you running at ? [res, detail etc].

He said everything medium. Which is impossible to believe. My 9800 PRO gets the same fps sometimes higher, sometimes lower than what he is getting. Either he overclocked that to an X800 XE, or this world is coming to an end.

Actually, it is perfectly possible to believe. He said he has an mx440, which is a DX7 card. There's a lot less that an mx440 GPU has to do to draw DX7 instructions than a DX9 - compatible card has to do to draw DX9 instructions. With that in mind, it is altogether very likely he is getting framerates like that with his DX7 card. Granted, the game will look like shite compared with any DX9 card, but someone already mentioned this and you folks ignored him.
