Yes.
For years & I do mean years, I only used the ATI drivers that OmegaDrivers offered, as they were much better than the stock drivers that ATI released. This was however, back in the day when the Radeon 9800 Pro was king of the hen house. For some reason, there was a gap in newer drivers that OmegaDrivers released & so I went back to the "official" drivers. I have not thought to use them again until reading your post. However when I just now went to look at what they offered, I saw that the last nVidia driver for XP was released almost a Year ago & the drivers for ATI are also almost a year old.
I may be confusing OmegaDrivers with another site, though I don't think I am, the guy that "tweaked" the drivers, was contacted by both ATI & nVidia with threats of legal action, which caused him to stop editing the drivers. I remember reading the guys return e-mail to both companies & got a great laugh. Went something like:
"If you actually gave a shit about the people that spent their hard earned cash on your products, you might have actually released a driver that wasn't an unstable piece of shit."
