Sorry for bumbing the thread. I haven't been here in a while, but now that school is over I will be here more, yay!

Anyways, since we pretty much know Alyx is going to be with us for most of ep2, why do I get the feeling that Valve deleted the scenes in which ALyx is holding on for dear life and that scene with the Vortigaunt saying "This is all anyone can bear, but we will perservere," I have a strange feeling that Valve deleted that because they wanted to killer her off, or they were going to revive her, etc. etc. Instead I think they replaced it with Ep1 style game play. Strange feeling, anyone else feel the same thing?

I have feeling this is gone, because they're have been spoilers all around the nets saying that Alyx gets a grav gun to pull some rubble off of you to get you out... I thought she was unconcious?

Yep. Alyx will be with you for a good portion of the game, although not as much as in Episode One.

Nope, that scene hasn't gone anywhere. Infact, I'd have thought the surroundings may have given you a clue....

This is all looking awesome so far, can't wait till October 9th!!

As for that scene with Alyx, it looks like it's set in the old nuclear missile facility that was mentioned a while back (Where Eli and Dr Kleiner set up thier base.) I'm guessing that will be in a latter part of the game, and anything could happen to Gordon an Alyx before they get there...

I don't think they would give away the ending of Episode 2 in a trailer.

the part where alyx is hanging on to the bridge for dear life is still in the game at the very beginning ... the reason it was put in the trailer coupled with the scene depicted in the screenshot above was to make u think alyx would die / be seriously injured ... just like when they show mossman's arctic team being attacked by a hunter it possibly implies her death ... these things only show that alyx and mossman won't die because they wouldn't so directly hint at it in a trailer
