I just downloaded the video that was posted in another thread. It looked legit. If I got a chance to download the leak, I wouldn't say no. That's not to say I wouldn't buy HL2 itselt ... because I still will.

Dude. Valve's prospective profits have been reduced considerably now. A major part of their profit would come from licencing their engine. But now the engines god damn source is in the open! Anyone with an internet connection can get it. It's crazy man.

The leaked source was true, people even complied it and made maps for it so you could try it out, even multiplayer, i had it and tried it so i can confirm that.

The beta has also been leaked which you can play (dunno exactly what maps/models) everyone is downloading it and slowing half the internet to a halt

If you dont believe it then fine, you'll feel pretty stupid when its all over the news sites

If the false beta is available, and forgive me if someone has already suggested this in all the other threads, wouldn't Valve be better off releasing an official demo? Not one giving the whole game away, but at least it would render the illegal one pointless if people could play the real thing.

Yes the HL2 Beta Is real

AI doesn't work correctly in it (hardly at all)

Lots of Textures missing & many things are unfinished!

Physics and manipulator do work and so does the buggy.

From what I have heard, all the map from the e3 video fuction correctly except for the AI.

Lots of screen shots out (no I wont post links)

I hear that it runs VERY GOOD on old/new comps!
