OMG!! It's so beautiful!

I get a little stuttering (occasionally a little more) with 512 MB DDR2. I plan to upgrade to at least 768 MB with my tax refund. (when I get it.) That would be totally sw33t. And over the summer I'm gonna upgrade my video card to something better than the Radeon X800 SE.

BTW does anyone have 2048MB of ram? I hear the new Alienware computers can have 2048MB.

You can get it with 2GB out of the box, but I'll bet it can handle more than that. Heck, my Dell can handle up to 4GB.

Damn I evny you man!!! I am planning to buy a new processor... I hope it will change something too.

Not for me, I just set all the settings to lowest, and the resolution. Load up a game, takes about 20 seconds. Then put my settings to medium, takes about another 20 seconds to adjust. So with 256mb of ram, it takes 40 seconds to load.
but how is the rest of your PC

I am going to upgrade my ram and my proscessor, i run it on pretty much all high except for shaders and shadows.

The game runs perfect on all chapters except goddam anti citizen one, dont know why.

Has anyone tried HL2 with Intel Extreme Graphics 2? I dare not for the embarrasment of getting a 'You're having a laugh!" type warning message.

Hehe, oh the irony for me in this thread!

I have a 512 MB RAM on my video card and 2GB of normal RAM (I think it's fast-ish RAM too, but not sure), and I have to put the textures to Medium as it's the only way I've found to completely eliminate stuttering.

I still think it looks great, though, and I can only really tell any difference when I go and stare at a wall or something close up, which I don't do very often!

Yeah cause we all know they have video cards with 512mb ram now .

My 512 works fine. I play on medium settings...I'm content, game still looks great. I'm gettin 1 gig of ddr400 though, cause im at PC2100, kept that from my old Celeron 2.2 ghz... :(

Actually, they do. It doesnt appear to be available for higher than DX8.1 though...

I'm running on a athlon 1900+ (1.6ghz) 512mb ddr ram on a geforce fx 5600 128mb. Runs well at all low settings, but the problem is my video card's fan is ****ed the **** up, so I get artifacts like crazy 5 seconds into the game. It didn't used to be so bad, happened a couple weeks after I beat the game.

9600xt(256mb ver), 2.8p4 (prescott), 512megs ram (dual channel).

full everything is easily playble.
