How Do I Play The Game???

If it says the game is unavailable, it's apparently unavailable because the authentication servers are down at Valve. The game can't verify that you are using a registered copy, or something like that, so it won't start until it can check with Valve.... Not fun, but that's basically it.

Have you already authenticated your copy? If so, take out your connection to the internet, and retry the game. You should then be able to play in offline mode.
