We don't normally announce when a new batch of games go through Steam Greenlight but today is a rather special case. Valve have just approved 100 new titles for distribution on Steam, bringing the total number of titles approved through the Greenlight service to 260.

On the official announcement page they've explained that they have greenlit so many games and software titles at once in order to stress test their newly improved developer tools for integrating titles with Steam. Although they warn that future batches of approvals will probably not be this large, they do hope to increase the rate at which games make it to the Steam store with these new tools.

Some of the games that have been greenlit have been on the service for quite some time, others are more recent. There are too many to list here though but you can see the full list on its official Steam Workshop collection here and you can also read the official announcement here.

Excited to see Mortal Online and Toribash in that list, both were games I spent a bit of time with and enjoyed.

Glad to see Knock-Knock get through. I'll support Ice-Pick Lodge just for being Ice-Pick Lodge. They should get tenured from someone :p

Also I'm looking at Freedom Planet. I think it started as a Sonic fan game and it shows. It's also rather unfortunately voiced and has a plot. The resolution is also (intentionallydue to retro-ness) pathetic and the demo build they have for download has a rather bad graphics bug on my machine. All that said it actually plays really really well and the demo level is a lot of fun (if rather easy). I think I'll at least keep an eye on it. It's also apparently going to have a classic mode with no cutscenes or voice acting, so that's good. Just don't look at the website.

Mortal Online has a lot of potential. Glad to see it on the list

I'm actually quite disappointed to see so many RPG's on there that pretty much look like cheap clones of already established franchises. I don't know how much of their gameplay/story will be innovative enough to separate them from the others. Considering how many original games were popping up when Greenlight was first announced. Guess I'll have to try some of them out to make a more informed decision. Plus I'm in a bad mood, so has probably made me more picky.

That being said, Knock-Knock does look like my favourite out of the ones I checked out.
