One Million Reasons Why No HL2 for the Mac

I emailed Gabe Newell about this and got a reply back from Doug Lombardi:-

Hi,

Gabe passed your mail to me -- the $1 million dollar thing is false. Not
sure who's started that one, but it has no factual basis.

Cheers

Stupid mac rumour mongers. :dozey:

Well i guess that's something, but to be honest it was never a strong argument to begin with.

There's absolutely nothing wrong in requiring money for this, and especially not how in the context it was mentioned, it, if anything, more sounded like a deposit than it sounded a fee.

True but it does highlight just how people shouldn't get all in a tizz about Blogs that claim things without providing any form of evidence whatsoever.

Duh?
If you want to build your own computer or buy a computer solely for the purpose of constantly upgrading and playing the latest game on the highest possible setting which you are going to bin in 2 years anyway ... well good for you.
For the normal consumer who wants a reliable, user-friendly, aesthetic, low-cost and powerful ready-built machine, you would be quite frankly mad not to have an Apple Imac on or near the top of your list of options. It's just so much ... better

Wait what? Apple = premium. You can build build machines running Ubuntu with more guts for less money than a ihatemac machine. OSX has problems just like any other OS which is something Mac fanboys don't seem to acknowledge too often. I refuse to use a Mac because there are too many stupid niggling issues with plague me every time I try to use one. Of course it's a matter of preference but that doesn't make your preference any better than ours.
