sci-fi stories...(give feedback ppl)
I have a developing story around this subject but I'm goanna fill you in with the background and beginning.
It is near future. I tried to develop a date to the events but my efforts have failed until now. Probably between 2050 and 2100 (given dates are subject to change).
A background is made according to several future analyses by science magazines and books because I want it to be scientifically accurate.
But according to my story, in the 70's (2070-2079) the world was shocked by the announcement of the first artificial living being. A mouse. Made according to a research deal between the US, EU Israel and Russia, (mouse name yet undefined), how the mice is called, is mice born from an incubator, with his genes chosen by supercomputers. Any zoologist would say that he is a mouse but his highly pigmented tail and green eyes don't match any known species of mice.
So in the sequence of this, ARPA is ordered to restart the Stargate project
that had already been restarted in the 40's with «genetically enhanced» human beings but then shut down again because all experiments died though to spinal overload ( their brains were so overdeveloped that their spine developed cancer) and their every attempts to overdevelop the experiments spine failed (mutants were born and obligatorily disposed of). They're ordered to generate a human being with the same tech that managed to grow (mouse name yet undefined) «tweaking» them to achieve designated goals - to make a telepathy capable human.
A lab on Alaska was created from scratch to host the project.
In the following years, several experiments are done with chimps and other animals, to determine the odds of success. They are established as acceptable and ARPA continues with the project. However the 1st human experiment (B-56) fails. Monitoring determines 2 weeks after the embryo is created that the child is unhealthy and ARPA orders its destruction. More tests are done and the error is found. One of the supercomputers had an error in databank causing several gene-sequencing errors in the calculations for B-56. The error was corrected and more animal experimentations were made to ensure reliability of the new gene databank.
The 2nd human (C-16) experiment was successful. The embryo developed normally but died due to birth complications. The mix administrated to him seemed to be too low on a few unessential proteins that were necessary due to the overdevelopment of certain areas of the brain, neural net and spine.
The mix was re-arranged, tested, and the 3rd human experiment (C-28) was generated. It was a complete success, being grown and born without problems.
Its telepath abilities were verified as soon as he was 3, when he started talking about things he had never seen like cities and walking in the country. By that time he had never left underground facilities of the lab were his quarters were. Everyday food was left for him in a small elevator. The only person he was allowed to see was his tutor, Dr. Spears, an expert in child psychology that taught him how to talk and walk. His creators, the S-team, remained at the ground levels, always watching with several video cameras and motion sensors.
At the age of 6, with the ability to see into other’s minds greatly developed, Michael, as Dr. Spears nicknamed C-28 is permanently isolated since the S-team believes that if it saw Dr. Spears mind he would have wanted to get out. His education continued throw TV screens and Dr. Spear’s voice, transmitted throw speakers. However, at the age of 10, Michael starts refusing to listen to lessons when Dr. Spear dies and is replaced. 2 years later, Michael escapes from the lab, destroying the containment doors that separated him from the elevator shaft and went up throw the stairs. No one noticed as Michael blanked the mind from the guards watching him in throw the cameras live feed and got up. He didn't even injure anyone, simply convincing the staff that he wasn't there to get out.
When he got out of the lab, too far away to blank everyone's minds, the base alarm sounded and search teams were dispatched. C-28 was never found.
ARPA, though very disappointed with the escape, agreed to continue funding the project, recognizing the enormous potential of the project.
D-01 was made. Another total success, D-01 grew up with no human around, being educated solely by speakers’ voice and screens. Dr. Popov, a world expert in child psychology, the only non-US personnel of the S-team, suggested that he would allowed out several times, that he needed to know the outside world or he would be another renegade. When he was informed that D-01, now nicknamed Daniel would be taken down at the age of 10 for this reason, he planned a way out.
In November 22, 2101, Ivanov Popov brought modified nerve agent contained in small glass recipient and a Anti-corrosive gas mask to the installation and released it into the air system of the ground levels, killing everyone inside. He grabbed his gas mask and went down, to Daniel's containment facilities with an independent air system. He drugged him and brought him up, placing on him another mask he had brought. When he went outside, he went to get a small, old civil Cessna he had left in the surroundings a few days before.
He left Daniel sleeping in a LA sidewalk, with only one message - «Don’t trust anyone but…» - and a bar code. He noticed a small cut in his lower back.
- Now this is the back story, and the rest is basically a search for C-28 (Michael) and running away from the Special Forces sent to capture him back.
- My idea was that he had both telepath and telekinetic abilities.
- telekinesis is mostly about moving stuff but we could generate powers like neck-breaking at a distance and controlling weapons. And maybe even flying powers closer to the end (telekinetic impulses to the ground can make that) and
-MDTW (massive destruction telekinetic wave – basically a big wave of destruction that would kill/injure everyone around him and destroy most things too).
- some sort of telekinetic impulse to wherever he wanted.
- Telepathy – invisibility
- mind control
- mind vision (throw-walls seeing vision – you would see everything in transparent blue and little lights on the place of people’s heads)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please suggest more powers and give feedback on the story.
Note - there is a mod proj. for this. If you want to sign up go to «Help wanted & offered» forum I hv a thread there.
