The United States is the last country that should ever be running a one world government.

There are far worse governments than the United States to be at the head of a one world government. Most of the issues people have with United States deals with its policies vs foreign nations, and the issue of war and stuff. You wouldn't have those issues with a one world government. I don't see why the united states is the 'last' country that should be running one... when there are countries out there that are far more oppressive to their own CITIZENS.

One world government puts too much power in the hands of too few people. If anything, it would have to be a democratic confederacy- but even that would be risky. Something like the United Nations would be better.

Another problem with a one world government is that you are completely and totally f**ked if you don't like it. You can't really go somewhere else if you don't like the laws, because the government is there too.

There is pretty much no room for dissenters.

Only way a one world government could ever be feasible is if mankind managages to spread itself across space and populates several planets. At least then there's some diversity. But since thats not happening any time soon, so lets keep our borders, mmkay?
