Online lypsynching?

As far as online play goes, later on for mods, will microphone talking move the mouth to form basic sounds/words.

Obviously it couldn't (at least as far as I know) handle the quality of lypsynching on characters like Alyx and Eli, but if you say "What are you doing?" will you be able to see that individual words were said, rather than "MOUTH UP, MOUTH DOWN, MOUTH UP, MOUTH DOWN?"

It has been said many months ago that online will use a simplified version of the lipsynching that is in HL2. My guess is yes, up down up down. Maybe they can throw in a left right left right B A B A select start in too.

Ah, that description sounds better than what I was intending.

Think animutation mouths.. heh.. Yeah..

So that's pretty neat, will be cool to see characters yell things and such.

it will reassemble basic vowels/consonants.
it will look better then in hl1 (where it was just up/down)

This was something that they were doing for TF2. Old CS and TFC already have mouth up, mouth down, so I'd imagine that it wouldn't be that. I think it might have something to do with the tone of your voice too; if you're yelling, it'll look like you're yelling, etc.

I first heard about this feature long time ago and it was in TF2. Is that feature also in HL2?
