Only on XBox?

Hey all,

I don't post here often, but after seeing this I thought you might be interested. My mum just got back from the UK and bought me some computer magazines, 101 PC Games Volume 8 and PC Gamer Christmas 2003. Out of one of these an XBox leaflet fell, and on the last 2 pages were a list of upcoming games, including Half-Life 2 and Doom III (Only on XBox). Now I was under the impression Half-Life 2 was only being considered for the next-gen consoles, i.e XBox2 rather than XBox. Anyway, attached is the Half-Life 2 bit from the leaflet.

EDIT: DOH, that'll teach me for only searching for XBox rather than X-Box. I look down the page and it's already there. Sorry guys. Is there any way for me to delete this thread?

Yeah, what they said . It just means it's the only console that will have it. (In the present time, that is. I remember a quote where it was said that it might be on Nintendo's next console.)

No, it doesn't mean Xbox is necessarily the only console that will have it. Wreckless: The Yakuza missions was originally an "Only on Xbox" title but it's now also available for the Playstation 2. Someone once asked the Xbox magazine team why they do this (there's a readers' comments section) and they responded with something like "It means that out of all the consoles this game is on, the Xbox version will be the most unique and brilliant in terms of quality (usually graphics/sound)."
