I've never played ssx, is it really that good. I've heard good things about it, but does it really stand out to be a superb game? Just a question, because if it is, I might try it.

wow, of course it's that good it's a cult game ever since it's first day, the ssx community is as dedicated as this one here, if you have the least interest in great and addictive arcade games with nonstop action and good music, do yourself the favor of trying either ssx tricky or ssx3. it doesn't try to be realistic in fact it's the very opposite, all of the game is over the top.


playing ssx to death is a yearly ritual each winter since five years for me.
but play it with a playstation-type controller because that's what the grabbing system was made for. with all four shoulder buttons and such.

Liked SSX & SSX: Tricky, didn't like SSX 3 so much.

if you liked SSX and SSX trick, you should love SSX3. I just don't get you. SSX3 imporved on the shortcomings of its predecesors (in every way).

B.T.W. if one has never played one of the above, I would advise starting with SSX3. It's one of the greatest games ever. I can't wait for #4 to come out.

It was the first game I GOT for my PS2. My PS2 came with a few games, but I got SSX for christmass.

Tekken Tag and SSX were the first PS2 games I bought on the release day... The graphics just blew me away.
