Ok, so I have some mool-ah (Translation for squares: money), and I can get one of two things, and it's a really tough choice here..

First thing - Multi-Effect pedal for my guitar (pretty good one, too), as well as a whammy bar (I have 2 guitars that use whammy, and no whammy)

Second thing - A graphics card. Although I only have $200 to spend total on the card, right now I have a GeForce FX 5600, and it's TERRIBLE. I have 1 GBRAM, too btw. I could get probably like a 7600.

I'd say get the graphics card. You're guitars are still in working, functional order. You don't need a fancy pants pedal or a whammy bar to make music.

Get the whammy bar and the card (personally I wouldn't bother with the graphics card but then I barely play games at all anymore)

This way you get to have more fun with both your geetar and your pc

Can always get the pedal some other time

AGP, though.

EDIT: wait, just go for the guitar pedal and whammy.

If you went onto a rock forums site and you went to the lounge, you would have the opposite of the above pollscores.

Get guitar shit now and do a proper PC upgrade when you can afford better. Unless you really want the card and won't be coming into any substantial amounts of money any time soon.

Neither.

As the above poster said, that is a pitiful upgrade and a waste of money. Save your money and do a proper, full upgrade.

Or just buy the guitar things and forget your PC.

Also, this is a bad question to ask a forum community. You should try to work on your indecisiveness - or at the very least ask some people in your life who know you better than we do.

If all he has going for him in getting laid is a guitar, he needs to try harder...\=

Well, I can't go bad either way, it's not really a big decision, asking here is pretty much the same as flipping a coin, it doesn't really matter to me, either one is good.

Agreed I would hope he has some game cause that is pretty much required. Guys that get a lot of girls are either alpha males or guitar players. Also an effects pedal makes guitar even more fun.

Speaking of that, I know a guy that plays the guitar a lot, and he doesn't get many girls...

Really, it's all about game, not the guitar :p Hell, girls get hot over Crysis, trust me!

lies! It's just like commercials for dating websites. As soon as he gets the pedal tons of hot girls will assault him(especially if he is wearing axe) and he will be molested for hours by hot girls. Definately worth $200.

I wouldn't get a multi-fx pedal. They always sound digital and shitty to me. I'd say just save the money or get the graphics card.

If you buy the items second hand you can have both! You should think about getting a extra gig of RAM.

Incase you need a more persuasive argument:

You don't need a cheaply made effect pedal and cheap plastic whammy bar to make something beautiful come out of your guitar. Hell, the two are severely overused in my experience with amature musicians.

You DO however, need a fair graphics card to make something beautiful come out of your monitor.

Try watching porn with a Voodoo. I dare ya...

Multi-effect pedals always suck, don't bother.

Graphics card tbh, or get a nice small tube amp and hear the orgasm of rock that will occur from one of those

What's the best possible graphics card I can get on a PCI?
(Not PCI-E.)

Buy the pedal for the guitar if that's your thing. The graphics card won't do you any good in life in the long run.
