OP4? Or HL

For one, the only game I liked more than HL itself was Opposing Force, it had everything I wanted. Even some ppl liked it more than HL.What about you guy?

HL kick ass and op4 too but the only thing is bad with op4 is that is shorter than hl.

And blueshift is more shorter.

Without a HL, there would be no OP4. OP4 was great, but the story just wasn't as deep as HL. HL gets my pick.

Half Life=action + puzzles
Blue Shift=more puzzles
Opposing Force=more action

Its a continuation. But it doesn't add a lot to the story. There are some new things you learn but not a lot. The fact that it was a shorter game also gives the impression of less submersion into the story.

Obviously its hard to bring a lot to the story if you are making an addon rather than and actual sequel.

I personally wanted to be part of the clean-up marines as soon as I saw them gun down a scientist I thought... nice to be the bad guy. However it was too short and the scientists helped you, and the barneys didn't shoot but it was still lots of fun

I've never played HL or OPFOR or Blue Shift...I've played glimpses and demos of each, but never all of it...the graphics are kind of keeping me from playing it right now...but I think I might play them all to get ready for HL2...

I also haven't even played Moh:aa...or its expansion...man...

Am I missing anything?

ya...I really don't care about the storyline that much...I'm just here to reap the new benefits of the advanced gameplay...if it looked just as cool but was about the civil war...I'd be all over it...its more appearance than content for me right now...

I heard HL has a subpar storyline anyways...it just has good gameplay...I do want to play moh:aa, but I don't want to spend money on an old game...

rofl, how can the story be sub par if the gameplay is excellent? U dont have 1 without the other!
