I do not know who banned me from the forums, but I am sending this message out to all the hl2.net moderators I can think of in order to make it clear that I did not deny the Holocaust and that I believe I should be given another chance.

You can see the message that got me banned here:

http://www.halflife2.net/forums/showthread.php?t=117502&page=3

My last message reads: "Do you have pictures of all the millions and millions of persons who died during that tragic event?"

If you read carefully, you will notice that I did not deny their deaths, otherwise I would not have asked for their pictures. When I asked Raziaar whether he had seen pictures of all the persons who died during that tragic event, I was merely asking the question from an epistemological point of view (I was being anal), without suggesting that the Holocaust did not happen.

I am sorry that my message was interpreted as a denial of the Holocaust. I am not sure if getting banned from the forums had anything to do with the fact that denying the Holocaust is illegal in some European countries, but you can rest assured that I did not deny it nor intended my comments to be construed as a denial of the Holocaust. If you reread my posts, you will see that I never denied the Holocaust. How can I deny it when I don't have any proof to suggest that it did not happen? So far the enormous amount of evidence suggests that it did happen, so, to that extent, I believe it happened.

All I ever tried to accomplish by making those comments was to make the point that, while I believe the Holocaust occurred, I also believe that the fact that it is illegal to deny it in some countries only fuels the desire of Holocaust deniers to deny it. The "problem" is not with the Holocaust occurring or not occurring; the problem is that freedom of speech is being denied. In fact, by making Holocaust denial illegal, not only is freedom of speech denied, but it also gives the impression that the body of the government responsible for that law wants people to believe that something that did not happen actually happened, which is counterproductive, because every single person on this planet who is not brain dead or trying to push a political agenda knows very damn well that the Holocaust happened and are not going to change their minds because some group of idiots wearing white hoods or dressed like Nazis want them to do so.

While I must admit that I have not researched the subject to great depth, my honest thoughts on the subject are that there are many people out there who lost their families during the Holocaust and they can't all possibly be lying. I'd also like to point out that because of our ethnic background, all my family and I would ALSO have been executed by the Nazis during the Holocaust had we lived in Germany at the time or if Hitler's plans of global domination had succeeded.

I apologize for touching on this subject without the amount of seriousness and respect that it deserves. Please give me another chance.

In my opinion you should PM an official, like an Administrator, Moderator or some Cop. Public post will just open up comments like what I'm about to say.

lol, pwnt

I e-mailed them but they did not acknowledge my e-mail. I actually registered this user name for the sole purpose of looking up their e-mail addresses, which you cannot do if you are not a member and are not logged in.

we already have seen this and are discussing.
