anybody else got it?

Better UI, IMO, still as fast as ever and history searching. I managed to get 12 speed dials aswell.

:imu:

Yep it's shiny!

How do I get more speed dials?

Oh I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you over the sound of FIREFOX 3!

I never liked the feel of FF. Opera's ui is much more to my tastes.

I do wonder why so many people are so rabid about Firefox's supposed superiority though. Does it matter? Either way?

I'm sure it's just fine, with me it's simply a case of being used to Firefox. It's like using Mac when being used to Windows. At first you think "Oo cool different!" but then you start missing all the little features you've come to rely on.

I'm downloading it now to give it another try. :p

At least it's not Safari.

I've preferred Opera to anything else for a long time. The waste bin function is just essential to me and the UI for me is the best out of all the main browsers available.

I'm slow to update though because I remember one of the 9.somethings was awful and since then I'm a bit wary (but they have since got rid of the things I hated about that particular update). I'll get 9.5 some day when I'm feeling adventurous.

Most of the extra features in opera are useless and it generally just feels cluttered. FF3 FTW!

I would try it, but OP didnt include a link in his post, and im just that lazy.

This.

Also I've seemed to have confuse its search bars whenever I delete a search engine from my preferences. It picks a random one. I do not want to search a dictionary. :|

Not for me. Strange. And I don't think It feels cluttered. and miccy, name a "useless" extra feature.

I always found FF to be cluttered and, on my Mac at least, non-functional towards a lot of sites or image loads on sites.

I'm quite liking the new Opera. To be honest, I don't actually use many features. I use Speed Dial religiously, but thats it. I don't even know what other features there are, Opera just feels nice and it works with all sites very fluently. Again, for me at least.

I saw some screens of the FF speed dial though... what are they playing at? At least make it look a little more subtle.

The FF speed dial is a user-created addon, can't really say that's a fault of the browser.

Oh, I didn't know that. Well, he could of made it a little different, then.

I started using the mouse gestures. A few of them at least, like back, forwards.

what does speed dial do?

sure I could look it up, but I'm sure you, yes you - can't wait to tell me what it does.

=-)

Instead of a blank page when you open a tab there are a bunch of big icons you can set to bring you to your favourite pages.

I use mouse gestures more than i use buttons-- well at least for back and forwards. And Eejit, did you add more speed dials?

Which is well useless when you think about it. I have a wide-screen and can have all my bookmarks available on the sidebar without shrinking page sizes :) Give me a yell when you get an ad blocker. Honestly I only use these really: http://www.adam.com.au/pom007/FF_Addons.JPG and get along just fine. I don't mind Opera but I won't be caught dead running the thing.

^ Instead of using a addon to get a 'proper' english dictionary you could just download the British-English version of Firefox, it's what I use.

Couldn't find the correct folder in my install, which is odd. I might try again didn't think of checking whether it was hidden.

I prefer the speed dial to favourites tab by far, and yes I'm running a widescreen. Nice big buttons for your top favourites with shiny pictures > a long list of bookmarks.

Opera has an ad blocker...

Well go to Explorer and copy and paste: C:\Program Files\Opera 9.5\profile\

It's in there. of it doesn't work, try Changing Opera 9.5 to Opera 9 or even just Opera.
