operation flashpoint! :D

I've actually just recently been getting into OpFlash again, along with a bunch of other older titles. I'm still amazed by how loaded and intricate this game is. There's still nothing quite like it. I never really gave much attention to the mission editor before, but now I think it's fantastically fun.

Aye I've been playing also. For those who want to know what level of realism the developers put into this game they even modeled the speed of sound into the game. If you use a LAW rocket launcher to destroy an armoured vehicle at around 330 metres away you will see the explosion but only hear the sound of the explosion around a second later as thats how fast sound travels at... 330m/s! The further away the target the longer the delay between an explosion or gunshot. You will even sometimes hear the whiz of bullets flying past your head before you hear the gun from which it was fired from!

This was in OpFlash? 'Cause I've never seen it in a game since. It's pretty unique if it is.

They also used that one anti-piracy technology in Flashpoint, first game to use 'Fade'. Apparently it worked, but never caught on because some legitimate games were getting screwed over because it was unstable or some such things.

It activates if you use a banned cd key, or if you modify the main executable of the game.

isn't that illegals?

Yeah, I lost my original CD key like two days after buying it. I've never seen the anti-piracy tech kick in.

^Same for me^

I've got the original disk and case, but no key was on the disc, I think it was on the box or something, which I lost, so I had to 'obtain' one.. It's so stupid, they should start printing CD keys onto the disc itself for a few reasons:

1) If you lose the disc, you don't have the game anyways, so you should be worried about getting it back to play it

2) People can't walk into EB games, look at the back of the box, write it down, then post it on the web.

3) Have you ever seen the crap printed on the disc fade away through regular wear and tear for a disc? No. Because it doesn't.
