I just bought this modem today and when I tried to connect it up my ISP said they couldn't connect to my modem so they think the line is bad but before I get it all plugged in and settled down I was wondering if anybody has any information on this modem.
I Bought it to replace my D-Link DCM-200 because it constantly disconnects and then reconnects, not to mention I am getting a really bad connection whenever it is connected (I know it might be a problem with the line and not the modem but if the Linksys is good enough I will just end up keeping it). I like to play online games, obviously, so it's a little frustrating when it keeps on doing that all day long. I have read some reviews on this modem (after buying it :| ) and its seems some people are having some problems with it, disconnecting and whatnot.
I do a little "file sharing" myself and have read that this modem likes to disconnect when you try and do this.
Really any information any of you guys have would be helpful before I get it all plugged in just to figure out I plugged in a piece of crap and will just have to run down to the store and get something else again.
