Ok i log onto Steam And I look for opposing force servers

i dont find any so ill check gamespy after

but instead to try the weapons ....i create my own server

when i started a server its just like when you start a single player game

so my question is

is opposing force a COOP game? play together throughout missions?

oh and another question ....how do i edit my quote where it says

"sa" at the bottum

It's not a co-op game. Op-Force is just recently playable I think (I didn't bother trying it again since it hasn't been working, so I'm dl'ing now and taking your word for it) from a long hiatus. The reason you can't use multiplayer and there are no servers is probably because the multiplayer is bugged. Wait till another Steam patch and keep tryin' with each new patch.

The Steam version of OP4 works just like the Steam version of
Half-Life. It's both single-player and multi-player.

Remember that when you start a single-player game, you will have
to wait while the game content downloads before you can play the
game. Depending on your connection speed this may take a few
minutes for each new section of the game. Be patient, it's worth the wait.

Multi-player is not co-op. I think the only co-op around for Half-Life
is Sven Co-op, which I don't think can be played with Steam yet.

I'm also not sure if the Steam version of Half-Life multi-player or the
Steam version of Opposing Force multi-player can connect to a non
Steam game. Anyone figure this out yet ?

Opposing Force freezes when I try to start a single player or multiplayer game. :(

What's your connection speed ? How long did you wait when it freezes ?

It appeared to freeze on my machine the very first time I tried to
play it, because it was downloading game content. It was frozen
for about 4-5 minutes before the game started. ( I'm on a 1 MBit
ADSL connection that downloads at 100+ KB / sec. If I was on a
modem I might have to wait close to an hour before the first section
of the game had downloaded. )

Your game doesnt freeze, I thought mine did but I left it there for awhile then it started to load again.

I freeze whenever I'm changing levels when I'm using a dialup modem. But when I'm using DSL, it works fine. I think there's a bug where if it can't get new content fast enough, it stops trying and hangs.

Well, Valve stated that Steam is not for dial-up users.
