Because it's like 3 years old...

Still a cool keyboard, I'd buy it if it was only $100 and came with the functionality of a Logitech G series keyboard.

each key is basically an lcd.....your asking to little there. 350-500 would be a buy for me.

This took too long to come out and costs way too much. Art Lebedev released the concept art for this keyboard what seems like five years ago and was all the hype back then. Now we have it; the screens are small and seem to take a while to update, and it costs $1.5k. Some dreams were never meant to be realized.

Technically OLED there. Which explains the cost because OLED is a relatively new technology. One that I wish really desperately was mainstream by now (think: vibrant 52" paper-thin TV screens with pure dark blacks and million-to-one contrast ratios, not to mention low power consumption)

I think there are cheaper alternatives. If there are not, then its probably cheaper to find someone local to make one for you
