I'm very excited about the ending of Ep2 now. Looks like there's some pretty immense scripted sequences in there too, one of the best parts of HL IMO. I'm not particularly liking the new vortigaunt attack though, electricity isn't meant to be wavy like that, and... they've still got that new fail-blood effect in there. Oh dear. Everything else, epic.

Well when you got hit by them in HL1 you get the electricity Damage Icon.

Seriously, you can rationalize that away with the vortimagicobeams inducing current wherever it strikes, or whatever. It isn't electricity. It doesn't act like electricity. I prefer it to be the awesome engineered quantum powers of a super-advanced race, instead of cruddy old electricity myself.
