I'm gonna have to say yes.

It seems safe and helps to prevent un-wanted pregnancies.

Yes, without a doubt. This stuff needs to be more accessible.

as long as people are informed that it doesnt always work ...I can forsee how some people would take their chances of not using a condom when the morning after pill is so readily available

yes is my answer

so what do ya'll think? Should it be allowed to be sold OTC? I think it should... it's safe, and it's really not the FDA's place to debate political reasons... just medical ones....
yeah it should be OTC. Doctors don't do much, they just give the girl a speech, she ignores it and chews bubblegum and goes on her merry way.

Those getting pregnant probably wouldn't if there was an easier way to get it.

Yes, but they should make it so if you continually use it, it damages your kidneys.

I think it would be a good idea, but you dont want people relying on it.

I'd want it available, so I wont be a hypocrite and vote no... so yes.

Yep. Kind of a pain in the ass to get it right now.

...not that I'd know or anything.

My school gives it out free :D score.

I think it should be available. Although, the naysayers are correct in saying that it will promote risky sex. It will in fact, do this, there's no doubt about it. While reducing the risk of unwanted pregnancies, i'm sure something like this could mildly increase the spread of STD's, if people will be more sexually active without much worry of the pregnancy. I think alot of people think 'baby' first when they have sex, before the thought of STD's enter their mind.

It's kind of like the 'hangover cure pill', which i'm sure promotes more over indulgance of drinking with less risk involved.

Heh. the hangover cure pill should have a slogan along the lines of.

"Get back on your feet hangover free the next day! Every day is a party day with <insert brand name>!

Opinion? Don't have enough information to make an informed decision. Personally, I believe this issue should have been dealt (regardless of the final answer) with at a much earlier time.

I agree that the pill is too difficult to get right now, but if it's going to be "over the counter", I think that they need to create a system where children under 18 who use the pill will have their parents informed. I'm afraid that the easy access of the pill will cause more sexual activity with teens. I think they need to be forced to think and make a difficult decision if they decide to have sex at that age. THey need to decide whether they want to get pregnant or tell their parents.

That would negate the whole purpose of selling it over the counter. The reason to sell over the counter is because it's too difficult for a teenager to get a perscription. If your parents would be informed if a teenager bought it, then no teenagers would buy it, and then risk pregnacy/abortions.
